Our Story
I’m Tony Sinclair, Managing Director and founder of TJS Solar. I started TJS Electrical Ltd back in 2017 after years working as an electrician for other people. I wanted to build something that did things properly — no cutting corners, no chasing the cheapest job.
For seven years we grew a strong electrical contracting business across Greater Manchester. But I saw where the industry was heading. UK energy prices had doubled. Homeowners and businesses were waking up to solar. And honestly — most of the solar companies out there were cowboys.
In 2024 we pivoted. TJS Solar was born, and we put everything into doing solar the right way — Tier 1 panels, premium inverters, our own in-house install teams, MCS-certified, Which? Trusted Traders endorsed. The kind of company I’d want installing on my own roof.

Today we install across the North West for residential customers and UK-wide for commercial — from corner shops to 226kWp factory roofs. Every system is designed, project-managed and delivered by our own team, with trusted long-term partners where it makes sense. No shortcuts, no compromises on quality.

We install residential solar panels in around a 70-mile radius from our office address in Leigh, Greater Manchester. Commercial UK wide.
Typically saves over 80% per unit rate of electricity (kWH) compared to buying from the grid. The equivalent cost of producing electricity with a commercial solar PV system is around 4-5 pence per kWh. In 2024, UK businesses will typically be paying 20-25 pence per kWh for their daytime electricity, and in some cases significantly more than this.
